Running Workflows in a Grid

Lesson Overview

In this video, you'll learn how to add a workflow to an existing grid in AirOps. The demo walks through the process of setting up a content workflow, mapping inputs, running the workflow, and reviewing the generated content brief.

Key Concepts

Setting up a Content Workflow

To set up a content workflow in AirOps, you first need to add the desired workflow to your existing grid. Search for the specific workflow you want to use, such as a "brief" workflow for generating content briefs. Once selected, map each of the workflow's input fields to the corresponding columns in your grid. Aligning column headers with input names makes the mapping process easier.

Running Workflows in Grid

After setting up your workflow, you have two options for running it:

  1. Run the workflow at scale by selecting "Run Workflow" and choosing the desired rows.
  2. Run the workflow one row at a time for more granular control.

When running the workflow, AirOps takes the input data from the specified columns and generates the content brief based on the provided information.

Reviewing and Saving Workflow Outputs

As the workflow runs, you may be prompted to review and select options, such as choosing a title for your content brief. After making your selection, the workflow continues generating the brief by analyzing similar keywords, page structures, and other relevant data across the web.

Once the workflow is complete, you can review the generated content brief, which is broken down into distinct elements. To use these elements in subsequent workflows, add them as new columns in your grid. You can either manually select the desired outputs or use the "Add All as Columns" option for simpler workflows.

Key Takeaways

  1. Mapping workflow inputs to grid columns is crucial for setting up a content workflow in AirOps. Ensure that your column headers closely match the input names for easier mapping.
  2. AirOps offers flexibility in running workflows, allowing you to process rows at scale or individually for more control over the process.
  3. Reviewing and selecting options during the workflow, such as choosing a title for your content brief, helps guide the generation of the final output.
  4. Adding workflow outputs as new columns in your grid is essential for using them in subsequent workflows and keeping your data organized.
  5. By following these steps, you can effectively set up and run content workflows in AirOps, streamlining your content creation process and leveraging the power of automated brief generation.
